1984's Nameservers

If you need to direct a domain from another provider to 1984's nameservers you use these:

ns0.1984.is
ns1.1984.is
ns2.1984.is
ns2.1984hosting.com


Change the nameservers

Only 1984 staff can change the nameservers of .is domains.
To change the nameservers of other domains bought from 1984 you do following:

Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com.
→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Manage Domains.
→ Click the gearwheel to the far right of the domain name you need to work on.
→ Fill in the nameservers you need and click Save Changes.


Connect a domain with google mail

Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com

→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Manage Domains
→ Click the domain you want to work with
→ Click Scooby-Doo features
→ Choose Use googles MX entries
→ Click Go

→ Note that this change might take up to 15 minutes to work.


Connect a domain with Office 365

Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com

→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Manage Domains
→ Click the domain you want to work with
→ Click Scooby-Doo features
→ Choose Office 365 entries
→ Click Go

→ Note that this change might take up to 15 minutes to work.


Connect a domain with WIX

Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com

→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Manage Domains
→ Click the domain you want to work with
→ Click Scooby-Doo features
→ Choose Wix entries → Click Go

→ Note that this change might take up to 24 hours to fully work.


Put a domain into a DNS Zone

To put a domain into a DNS Zone you do as follows:

→ Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com.
→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Add Domain.
→ Where is says Domain, fill in the domain name (without www) .
→ Where is says IP address you usually do not need to fill in anything.
→ Click Create zone.
To view your DNS Zone:
→ Click FreeDNS again and choose DNS - Manage domains .
→ Click your domain name.


URL Redirect in DNS

Log in to your user at 1984hosting.com

→ Click FreeDNS and choose DNS - Manage Domains.
→ Click the domain you want to work with.
→ Now delete the A-record @ and the CNAME-record www.
→ Then you click the link New URL redirect on bottom left of the page.
→ Write @ host host and the URL path goes into URL Redirect
→ Click Add URL Redirect.
→ Then you click the New URL redirect link again.
→ Now fill in www in host again the URL path goes into URL Redirect
→ Click Add URL Redirect
